Advanced Standing ECG/Phlebotomy Technician DIPLOMA PROGRAM

Are you a current student or a graduate of a nursing program?  If so, you may qualify for Robetech’s Advanced Standing ECG/Phlebotomy Diploma Program.  This course offers you the most hands-on and efficient technique in drawing blood and performing ECGs.  With amazing instructors and a fully equipped medical laboratory, our students gain the skills and knowledge to work confidently as an ECG/Phlebotomy Technician.  Coupled with your nursing experience, students have the opportunity to work in a variety of different areas, such as Insurance Companies, Research Companies, Pharmaceutical Industry, and many other different sectors.  We have designed and tailored this program specifically to those with previous theoretical experience, along with training in other invasive procedures.  Our Instructors train you step-by-step in a wide variety of venipuncture procedures, ranging from difficult veins to pediatric draws. 

We offer the program on a full time and part time basis, completed in as little as 8 weeks (full time).  Students who are currently still in school for nursing can take advantage of our summer programs starting May 2010. 

Tuition Fee: $4,400.00 - Includes all text books and laboratory equipment costs. 

Students will earn a diploma upon successful completion. 

Option to continue into the Medical Laboratory Technician program is available.

Here is a list of the courses available:

	Introduction to Palliative Care This program is intended to provide family members or health care workers with a better understanding of caring for terminally ill patients.
	Introduction to Restorative Care This program is intended to provide family members or health care workers with a better understanding of caring for patients who are recovering from a serious illness or accident. Students will learn how to assist patients in returnin to their activities of daily living and the use of specific adaptive devices.
	Introduction to Alzheimer's Care and Parkinson's Disease This program is for friends and/or relatives who are living with or caring for a person who has Alzheimers or Parkinson's disease and wish to have a better understanding of the stages and symptoms. This assists them in learning how to cope with changes in the patients personality and their daily acitivities.
	Introduction to Physiotherapy Assistant This program allows prospective students who may be considering a career in Physiotherapy the opportunity for them discover more about the role and responsibilities in this particular field.

Estimated duration for each program is approximately 24 hours in total.

The tuition for each program is $350.00 which includes all study materials.

There are no pre-requisites required for these certificate courses.
