The Fast Track (Advanced Standing) Medical Laboratory Technician program is offered on a Full Time and Part Time basis with flexible schedules to better accommodate your busy lifestyle!You can choose to study any time between Monday-Friday and Saturdays!
The average schedule and duration for a full time student is Monday – Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm OR 1:30pm - 5:30pm and can be completed within 12 weeks or less!
The average schedule and duration for a part time student is Saturdays from 9:30am-3:30pm and can be completed within 20 weeks or less!
The way it works is simple! When you first come into the school for information and a tour, we will assess your documents on the spot. The Senior Academic Advisor along with your program Instructor will then begin designing a program that is specifically tailored to you!
On the day of registration you will be provided with all the required study materials!
We cover all the basic areas:
Electrocardiography, Phlebotomy, Patient Documentation, Requisition Forms, OHIP Billing and all the various laboratory disciplines including Microbiology, Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, and more!
Robetech Institute offers students the opportunity to train in our fully equipped diagnostic laboratories, as well as off-site Clinical Placement at a licensed medical laboratory or clinic.
Our Fast Track Medical Laboratory Technician program is approved by the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists; therefore graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the OSMT certification examination.
